Today I introduce to you all Dario Mohr, CEO and founder of Daft Minerva. I met Dario at the Philadelphia Men’s Style Week fashion show. When he was making his way down the runway as the designer, everyone thought he was just one of the models lol. It was at the end of the show when we got a chance to meet as we both were about to leave. His designs coming down the runway immediately stood out with the hand-painted detail and embellishments. I loved the uniqueness of his designs and as you can see, he has suit jackets that can be worn backwards.

1. When did you start designing?
in 2012. I began with my line BuddhaHood consisting of graphic Ts and dresses and then Created Daft Minerva which are hand painted, embellished and altered clothing.
2. Do you only design menswear?
Predominantly Mens but also create womenswear

3. What event has been your favorite for showcasing your line(s) so far?
NYFW at Helen Mills Fashion Gallery in February of 2014. Ill be showcasing with them again NYFW September 6th

4. Have you worked with any celebrities? If so, which ones? (if you want to answer). If not, who would you like to work with?
I would like to design for Pharrell, Rihanna, Common, Kelis, Will.I.Am, K-Os, Jennifer Lopez
5. I loved your designs, what do you think makes them different from other designers?
They are hand painted and hand embellished. It is alternative, formalwear including blazors which can be worn backwards and frontwords.

6. How long does the process take for creating a collection?
About a week. When the ideas start streaming I do not hesistate.
