Four Fun Ways To Style a Vest

Four Fun Ways To Style A Vest

Vida Fashionista

I’m totally loving my Olive Green vest from T.J. Maxx and am always looking for ways to utilize the clothes that I already have in my closet.  As you can see, a favorite of mine and what would probably look best with any oversized vest, would be to add a belt to it.  The vest is already oversized and very casual by itself that it needs to be drawn in by a belt to make sure people remember that you have a waist and curves.  It’s also nice to wear the vest “as is” with no belt for a more laid back look.

Casual/Sporty

This outfit is super casual and very sporty.  It isn’t as polished so adding a belt is not needed here.  Try pairing your oversized vest with a pair of jeans or leggings and add a sneaker wedge or even a Converse to give it a sporty look.

Dressed Down

As previously seen in my post “Double Trouble” this outfit dresses up the vest a bit more but still leaves you with a relaxed vibe.  Try adding a skirt or shorts with your oversized vest.  Add a collared shirt to make it seemed dressed up but then a flat shoe to make it ready to wear for any occasion.

“In the Office”

Casual day in the office?  This office friendly approach to this vest is perfect for work and play!  It still looks professional, yet you could go out after work dressed this way and not be too “overdressed” for the occasion.  And anyway, you’d rather be overdressed than underdressed right?

Dressy

Date night…check.  Girls night….check.  Work appropriate….check!  If you never thought you could pull off a dressy look with a vest, think again!  It’s feminine yet edgy, sexy yet classy.  Try pairing your oversized vest with one of your favorite dresses. Make sure you add a belt to give it a feminine touch but if the outfit works without the belt, go for it!
