Whole30 Week 3

And just like that Whole30 week 3 is over!  I just want to thank you all so much for helping me through some of my most difficult times throughout this challenge.  Here are this week’s results.

Sunday March 11 Day 15

How I’m feeling: Proud. I announced on Instagram a few days ago that I was quitting Whole30 today. The road has hasn’t been easy but I didn’t start this journey to halfway finish. I made up in my mind with the encouragement of all of you to keep going strong. Today may have been a turning point for me.

Monday March 12 Day 16

What I ate: For dinner Sheldon wanted steak. As I said earlier I am tired of steak. I made him steak, baked potatoes and asparagus. For me I made myself breakfast. Just bacon and eggs.

How I’m feeling: Not too bad. The cravings are slowly going away.

Tuesday March 13 Day 17

Whole30 Week 3

What I ate: If I’m not eating eggs and bacon for breakfast I usually don’t take a picture. I’ll usually have some fruit, specifically bananas and almond butter. For dinner, I got sick of eating steak last week so I made 2 salmon filets and some sweet potato fries. I am really loving sweet potato fries lately and I don’t know what took me so long to try them.

Wednesday March 14 Day 18

What I ate: This really was my biggest meal of the day. I snacked all night while at work on apples and a banana.

How I’m feeling: Honestly, today was one of the best days I’ve had since starting Whole30. I think I finally made it over “the hump” or in my case a couple of humps and I’m just looking forward to the finish line. I had no cravings and I even worked a 12 hour shift without being overly hungry or hangry.

Thursday March 15 Day 19

What I ate: Y’all Sheldon made me breakfast!!! Later on I had the Philly Current PC Picks Party and ate some meatballs there. I finished the night at Lucha Cartel and had mussels.

How I’m feeling: Honestly I’m feeling better each day. As I’m nearing my Whole30 journey. Don’t get me wrong, I was so tempted today because the party served Blue Moon on tap. Only 11 days left, can’t give up now.

Friday March 16 Day 20

What I ate: Started my day off with some unsweetened applesauce. I ate a snack consisting of coconut milk with bananas and strawberries. I’m not a fan of coconut anything but this actually wasn’t too bad. For my dinner I had some grilled chicken and 2 baked potatoes. I took that photo after I had eaten most of the chicken lol

How I’m feeling: Staring down that finish line and just ready to be done. I’m so bummed that I chose this challenge and tomorrow is St. Patty’s Day. I’m meeting up with some girlfriends and I’ll have to be sober Sally again lol.

Saturday March 17 Day 21

What I ate: For breakfast I had scrambled eggs with spinach, peppers and onions, bacon and potatoes. I briefly went home to nap and then to my girlfriend’s house. I brought a banana with me in case she didn’t have Whole30 snacks (she didn’t). While we were out I had some beef kabobs at Harp and Crown…so delicious. For dinner I had braised short ribs.

How I’m feeling: You know they say it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. I’ve done it y’all! I feel like I can confidently finish this thing out. I can say confidently that my cravings have just fallen away. I even went out with my girlfriends in the city for St. Patty’s Day! I stayed out til about 10pm sober! They tried to tempt me many times but apparently my will power is stronger than I thought it was.

As I finish writing this post I realize that I am going to my last full week of Whole30. I can’t believe that it’s almost over but secretly I feel like it’s all I’ve been talking about. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
