Finally my Punta Cana Travel Guide is up! Before y’all get sick of seeing and hearing about my trip, I had to make a guide. Tomorrow I will get the vlog up! I’m so happy to be sharing this wonderful experience with y’all! The trip was one of the best yet! We got engaged, did some fun activities and truly made lots of Memories.
Where to stay:
Memories Splash Resort Punta Cana
Royalton Punta Cana Resort & Casino
Of the two resorts, this one was closer to the beach. Once my video is uploaded about the trip, you will be able to see the shuttle ride we took to get there. The only downside of this resort was it got pretty crowed in the pool and beach area. We mainly stayed over at Memories.
Where to eat:
There are a couple of different restaurants on the resort. Each restaurant had it’s specific food type.
This restaurant was buffet style. You could say they had many different “selections”. We ate there everyday for breakfast and sometimes for dinner. They offered many different types of food.
This was the Italian restaurant on the resort. We ate there for dinner one time. I got the fettuccine alfredo and Sheldon got chicken.
Under The Sea
Cue The Little Mermaid theme song lol. Obviously judging by the name this is a seafood restaurant. I got clam chowder, salmon and for dessert a brownie with ice cream. Sheldon got coconut shrimp? Best part, they gave us a complimentary lobster!
Zen is actually located at the Royalton resort. We were given a pass and reservations were made for us to eat there. It’s a Japanese and hibachi style restaurant. I will never forget this night because I sang karaoke in front of our whole resort and Sheldon proposed that night!
Funny, we actually didn’t eat here. Seeing as Sheldon works at a Mexican restaurant, we decided to pass.
What to do:
Go to the beach
Best experience ever! The cool thing was that you got to see all of the resorts as you were in the air. The one thing I do regret…not properly reading the specs on my go pro. I bought the go pro specifically because I knew we were going parasailing. The memory card I had was too big so it didn’t properly work at first. At least we have pictures right!? If you are wondering how high up we went…200 feet!!!
The main reason I chose this resort was the water park! Yes, my inner 12-year old my quite satisfied lol.
What to wear:
Y’all it was hot and HUMID! I kept my clothing loose and light.
Tips for next time:
I truly don’t have many complaints about our trip. It really was incredible. I will say a few recommendations for the next time we go to Punta Cana.
Adults only: Our resort was not an adults only resort. The main reason I chose it was because of the water park (which was so fun). There were lots areas just for the kids to hang out on the plus side. So that way they weren’t around as much and didn’t interfere with anything.
Thanks for reading!
