Let’s talk 202 fashion trends. Wow, I can’t believe that this is my first blog post of 2020! First off let me start by saying this is not the post that I was intending on being the first for the new year but here we are. Professionally, I have hit the ground running for 2020. Personally I am at a bit of a standstill as I have been sick since Friday (January 3) and have not fully recovered yet. I promise to get back to regular posts once I’m feeling better.

I stopped by Fox29 Philly to share some of the fashion trends that we will be seeing this year.

Puff Sleeves

Apparently the bigger the better. We will see whimsical types such as sheer puff sleeves along with a subtle puff like my polka dot shirt.

We will be seeing leather all over this season whether it’s in shirts, shorts, pants, blazers, trench coats, skirts, etc. Most popular will be colored leather.

Polka Dots

I’m very excited that polka dot is getting its moment. 2019 was the year of leopard and snakeskin so it’s nice to see this playful pattern come back into play. Expect to see it everywhere!

70s Inspired Looks

70s always has a way of making a comeback. We will see psychedelic prints and patterns, colors such a mustard and burnt orange, corduroy pieces and the return on bell bottoms!

Hoop Earrings

Hoops are always a great thing to keep handy. Whether they are in or out I wear them. In 2020 hoops of all shapes and sizes will be popping up.

An oldie but goodie, neon is making its way back and I can’t wait to see this on the runways. Try pairing your neon pieces with other bold colors or play it safe with a soft neutral.

Linear Lines

Stripes, stripes and more stripes! In particular, vertical stripes will be big because they photograph well and look flattering on all body types.

That’s all I have to report for you today. My goal for 2020 is for more on air time so I would have to say that I’m off to a great start. Oh and if you missed the segment click here.
