2025 Mazda CX 90

2025 Mazda CX 90. Alright dear friends, settle on in for today’s post as it is a car review. It’s been a minute since I did one last so I’m excited to hop back into sharing them again. Over the past week I got to drive the 2025 Mazda CX 90 Premium Plus and of course it was the chef’s kiss. As with all of my car reviews, I will go over the specs of the car first and give me thoughts and opinions on the car towards the end of the post.

The Mazda CX 90 is the largest SUV that Mazda offers. If you are in the market for a larger family car this is definitely one to consider and will honestly come down to what exactly you are looking for when it comes to features.

Exterior Features

  • LED lighting
  • *This model* panoramic moonroof with tilt feature

3-Row Configuration Options

An SUV with 3 rows plus trunk space is so important being a parent to littles that are growing every day. Leg room is super important and I know the older the kids get the more activities they will get into. This calls for a primary family car that will allow that and I definitely found that in the Mazda CX 90. It has flexible seating options with a second row bench seat or available dual captain’s chairs and an optional second row center console. Our current car seats have cup holders but as the kids get older, the option of having a second row center console is awesome.

  • Panoramic moonroof
  • Japanese Kakenui stitching, and an available 3-seat third row.

  • An available Mazda Navigation System
  • Optional Bose® Centerpoint® Surround Sound System w/ AudioPilot® and 12 speakers.

Overall thoughts

Pros

I loved this car so much. It handles so well, is such a smooth ride, absolutely stunning and sleek. One feature that Sheldon always loves is the active driving display. The car displays your driving speed, the current speed limit of any street or highway you are on plus appropriate signs like stop signs, yield, do not enter, etc all on the windshield of the car. I always appreciate the 360 degree view monitor. It always helps especially if you have a tighter parking spot to get in/out of along with seeing all of your surroundings.

Holds up to 8 passengers comfortably. Our current car holds up to 7 passegners but I know the third row is pretty tight on leg room. Also with all 3 rows up, it doesn’t offer much trunk space so we only have the third row up if necessary. This car was so roomy. The kids absolutely loved it and I had no issues with the three rows plus trunk space.

Cons

Personally, there were some features of it that were not my favorite or missing. This may be so minuscule but even though it said that the display was touchscreen I did not find that to be true. Now I may have been doing something wrong but this is the second Mazda that I’ve driven and noticed that the display was not touchscreen. Again, this could be 100% user error on my part since I didn’t read the manual or anything but seeing as I am used to the efficiency of having a touchscreen display, not having one was a real drawback for me. I also don’t love the navigation for the radio. It’s not on the screen but instead in the front center console and I like to be a bit more handsfree.

Thanks for sticking around for my review of the 2025 Mazda CX 90 Premium Plus. I hope it was helpful and you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for another car review coming in the next 2 weeks. I will be getting a new car dropped off this week that I am so excited for!

Thanks for reading!
