On Friday May 3 I had the pleasure of attending the Dietz and Watson Delishop pop -up event. What an event it was. Seriously Dietz and Watson pulled out all the stops. Let me just show you the space.
First things first, Delishop is located on 5th and South Street in Philly. The location couldn’t be more perfect. South street gets lots of tourists plus is a great place for shopping, sightseeing and eating. The singing group Boys II Men famously sing about South Street in their song “Motown Philly”. The shop is hard to miss, even though I almost walked right past lol.
Every single detail was taken in account all the way down the the hot dog door handles. My favorite thing about Delishop were all of the clever sayings for the merchandise. Since this is the Philly location, many of the sayings were Philly related – for example instead of “Philly Philly” the aprons said “Grilly Grilly”. I also loved how the swag bags said “Jawn” on them. If you are a Philly native then you will appreciate it too.
How about the play on words with this “Frank u, next” t-shirt. We all know the ever popular “Thank you, next” song by Ariana Grande. The hot dog tights were super cute too.
There was a massive charcuterie bar/table set up in the middle of the shop. It had all the cold cuts and cheeses one could ever want. Oh and let’s not forget about the food that was being passed around! I gotta say the “Turn’t Up Tacos” were my favorite.
Now what kind of fashion blog would this be without discussing fashion. I had the pleasure of walking in the fashion show held at Delishop. Myself along with about 15 other people walked the hot dog runway to show off the clothing merchandise.
There is another part of Delishop that is set up like a backyard. There is a corn hole set for purchase set up on turf along with swimwear, cookout gear and even dog leashes!
Serving up dessert, there was water ice…or as it’s pronounced in Philly “wooder” ice and maple bacon donuts from Philly’s own Federal Donuts.
Once again the Dietz and Watson team went above and beyond for Delishop. I’m so glad I got the opportunity to attend the event and I can’t wait to visit throughout the summer while they are still here. If you get a chance, make sure you stop by the shop on 5th and South Street. And if you’re not able to make it to South Street, you can shop all their merchandise at www.dietz.store
