Let me take you over to Fork restaurant. Located in Old City Philly, I’m always looking for new places around the city to eat at. On this particular day, I had a shoot and was looking for a happy hour spot. I wasn’t terribly hungry but so in the mood for oysters. After seeing an Instagram post from Fork, I decided to give it a try.
Now honestly, I have no excuse for never having been to Fork. I used to live in Old City and my nail shop is literally two doors down from the restaurant. Crazy how you don’t notice things unless they are on your radar. I met two of my girlfriends there and we all got the oysters. They were so delicious served in olive oil, lemon juice and pickled celery. I think the pickled celery was the key. To accompany my oysters I got a glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
If you are interested in going, I will say that for happy hour the oysters cost more than other places in the city. You can literally get $1 oysters at McCormick’s and Schmick’s. The happy hour oysters at Fork are $2 each. The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff was wonderful plus I really wanted to try something new.
The details:
