Alright, not trying to be typical with the “new year new me” mantras but hey, here we are. I want to talk about making a happier, healthier version of yourself. First off, I did a poll on Instagram and y’all said you wanted to see more fitness posts. Promise I won’t go all “active Amy” on you and over share. While we are still on the New Year high let’s get into making a happier, healthier version of yourself.
Get Up and Get Moving
You only get one body so take care of it. I don’t know why people get so peeved when you talk about working out. Whether it’s working out 5 days a week or walking a couple minutes a day, try to get in the habit of moving your body. We all know the great health benefits it has for you.
Don’t Think Just Do
If this isn’t for anyone else, it’s for me. I spent about 10 minutes today contemplating on going on my run instead of just doing it. Needless to say after wasting the 10 minutes thinking about my 10 minute run I was pissed. In the time I spent thinking about it, it could have been done.
What motivating factors do you have? A big part in my fitness journey last year was our wedding. Whether it’s an upcoming vacation, a life change for health purposes or event, anything to help motivate you.
Take Time to Stretch, Meditate, Pray…
Whether you are religious or not, take 5 minutes of your day to do this. You will be surprised how much better you will feel. We spend so much time each day not doing things for ourselves…working, taking care of kids, you owe yourself 5 minutes a day to do this.
Last thing before I go, I must share my new wireless headphones. With all of the chaos of the move, I’m finally able to put these bad boys to good use. The one thing I have been wanting for a while are a pair of wireless headphones. I seriously contemplated getting air buds but got so lucky getting these. The sound is amazing and they don’t fall out my ears when running.
