I am so holiday ready in today’s post! Tis the season for sparkly dresses, holiday parties, family time and lots of eating! The holidays are officially here!!! I welcomed the holiday season by finishing my Christmas tree last night. Now all I need is a tree skirt. This is truly the most wonderful and my favorite time of year.
Thanksgiving always brings me back to the “now” and I think of how grateful and thankful I am for this life of mine. Christmas is a time to spend with family members, reminisce on good time and remember the ones we’ve lost. New Year is for “new beginnings”. Finally decide to finish school, start a business, leave that job that you hate. All in between you enjoy time with friends and other who are important to you.
With the holidays comes what to wear. A simple question which plagues our everyday life whether you like it or not. In the wise words of Iris Apfel “more is more and less is a bore.” This is the one time of year to truly enjoy yourself. Indulge in your hard work over the past year. Over dress, drink another cocktail (responsibly of course), truly live it up because tomorrow is not promised. You will always find me in some sort of dress. Maybe a sparkly dress, maybe floor length or a mini. Sometimes I’ll wear a tutu and occasionally pants, probably a jumpsuit.
This little gold dress has been in my closet for quite some time. I rarely wear it (special occasions only) but when I do it’s always timeless. It was also the best $12 I’ve ever spent, thanks Marshalls. The purpose of this post was not to ramble but to talk about holiday fashions and some favorites. Sorry y’all I got caught up in the moment. My advice for all my ladies searching for holiday dresses/outfits, find something you could wear time and time again. A “go-to” outfit. Holiday trends that never go out of style are silver and gold metallics so find yourself something sparkly 🙂 .
Two more things and I’m done. IT’S CYBER MONDAY! I’ve rounded up the best sales here. Last thing, I go on vacation tomorrow! I can hardly contain my excitement! Even though I travel often, I usually have some sort of agenda. Well tomorrow is for ME and my boyfriend 🙂 . I don’t think I’ll get any work done today at work since I’m bursting with excitement. Be sure to keep up with me on snapchat and Instagram/Instastories to see where we are going!
