How To Restyle A Plaid Blazer. One request that I received was to restyle pieces that you already have in your closet. I would love to have this be a series but in order to do so I need to know what y’all are looking for. Today I’m showing how to restyle a plaid blazer. This post is a more educational take on my “4 Ways To Style” series. Not just showing you different outfits but going in depth on how and why they work.
I shared a reel on Instagram explaining how to achieve this. The problem isn’t that you need more clothes, but you just need to know how to shop your own closet and make new outfit combos. The great thing about a blazer, you can wear it with anything. Here are a few combos:
- Blazer + blouse + dress pants + heels
- Blazer + t-shirt + jeans + sneakers
- Blazer + sweater dress + knee boots
- Blazer + jumpsuit + heels
- Blazer + lounge set + sneakers
If you don’t want to feel like you are wearing the same things, just style your pieces differently each time you wear them. The one thing that will help making restyling looks easier is having a great foundation of basic items. Basic items include t-shirts , long sleeve shirts, turtlenecks, jeans, dress pants, a blouse, denim jacket, a blazer, some sort of skirt whether it’s a dressy skirt, denim skirt or satin slip skirt. I could go on for days but maybe I’ll save that for another post (let me know).
I really hope I explained this well enough. Sometimes when you know how to do something it’s a bit harder to break down and explain fully in detail. If you have any questions or need clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out or leave a comment at the end of this post. Also, let me know what you would like to see restyled next. I’m thinking to do a sequin skirt, y’all heard it first.
