Yes back at it again with another Philly restaurant, today Morning Glory Diner. I’m here to take you to not only the “popular and touristy” spots, but ones that are my personal recommendations for you and ones that have some of the most delicious and underrated foods. Now this restaurant does have a couple of awards under it’s belt but they are well deserved.
Pictured above, I had the breakfast burrito for the first time and it was fantastic! I was skeptical at first because of the sauce that was on the burrito (which is a red chili sauce that isn’t spicy at all) but it mixed well with the ingredients inside of it. Inside was scrambled eggs, cheese, peppers, onions and BACON! Fun fact, they make their own ketchup! (pictured below) Personally I like good old Heinz ketchup because it’s sweet but everyone raves about the homemade ketchup so it’s worth a try if/when you go.
Coming in at only $13 is the grilled rib-eye steak and two eggs your way. This picture doesn’t even do the steak justice. It is sinfully delicious and I can’t believe the price! And yes, that is a buttermilk biscuit you see there. Caution: be prepared for the food coma that is to come after all this deliciousness lol.
By the way, if you’re in the mood for a little mimosa action, this place is BYOB so go ahead a pop a bottle!
