Ok y’all, let’s talk OTK boots really quick. In case you were wondering, OTK stands for over-the-knee. The search for the perfect pair is now over and finally found them at J.Jill and I’m #obsessed.
I try not to get too trendy with my outfits since that usually leaves you looking like everyone else. I am however glad that one trend that stayed from last season is the OTK boot (and blanket scarf). How to wear them? They are pretty versatile so try a dress, pair of skinny jeans or even a skirt. I will note that when wearing a skirt or dress, just be conscious of the hemline. Personally I think the boots look better when there is some separation of clothing and skin.
One last thing I will note, I love these boots because of the stretch factor. The boots are all leather until you get to the back! For my ladies that have larger calves…winning! I think I have slightly larger calves for my size thanks to 18 plus years of dance. So for me, sometimes boots in general just don’t fit properly. Sometimes there is also the saggy ankle factor but I have skinny ankles and I accept it lol.
FYI, these boots are part of the J.Jill October collection. What are some of your Fall staples? Do you love the over-the-knee trend as much as I do or no? I’d love to hear your answers 🙂 .
Thanks for reading!
