Finally, the Philly Influencer Mixer recap!!! Last week I hosted the first Philly Influencer Mixer alongside my good friend Kamille Watson of The Hot Kommodity at Photo Pop Philly located in the Bourse Building. I had an absolute blast and was blown away by our turnout and the response.
First off let me introduce to many of you Photo Pop Philly. It’s literally every blogger/influencer/creatives dream space. Every single part from the time you hit the door is a photo op…perfect for influencers! The theme of this year’s Photo Pop is Sweet Paradise and I think it went hand-in-hand with the event.
Just take a look at those cupcakes which were provided by Philly Sweet Shotz. Not to mention use caution because they are alcohol infused cupcakes and so delicious!
In case you are new here as I assume most of you are, the Philly Influencer Mixer was created to bring together Philly’s influencers/bloggers for a night of networking, education and fun. Here in Philly, we do not have too many opportunities to bring all influencers of different types of niches together while learning about the industry in the process. At the event we had influencers/bloggers from men’ s fashion, women’s fashion, fitness, lifestyle, food along with some local businesses and news outlets.
Since this was the first mixer, I wanted to keep the focus on networking and taking photos. Kamille gave a brief speech and then introduced me to the crowd to start a short ‘Ted Talk’ session. I answered 5 frequently asked questions which were generated by everyone after doing an Instagram poll. For future events we would like to start to have brands join for meetings with each influencer for partnerships and collaborations. Also have some guest speakers and panelist truly making this a one of a kind event with education and purpose.
The last part of the night ended with a raffle for the giveaway prizes. A couple of our local businesses donated generously. One of the items being a matching Eagles sweatshirt and hat made by Alana Ferr. We also had gift cards to her store and Smak Parlour and then class cards for free dance lessons at Estilo Dance Studio.
Did you come to the event and your photo is missing? Head over to Facebook page! Be sure to ‘like’ the Philly Influencer Mixer page to keep up with all future events, updates and photos! If you are Instagram, you can do a simple hashtag search of #PhillyInfluencerMixer and it will pull up all related photos to the event. That being said, if you are referring to the mixer, please make sure you hashtag it so we can keep track of all the posts! You can always also follow myself or Kamille to keep up with future events too.
Again thank you to everyone that came out for the first Philly Influencer Mixer! Your support is greatly appreciated and because of you we WILL be having more events. One last thing, a huge thank you to our sponsors, especially Kate of Philly PR Girl for allowing us to use her space!
