Hey y’all!!! Long time no see lol. I’m here to give you a progress report on how things have been going since my surgery. Please excuse Miss Stevie (the cat) for the photobomb but she was insistent on not missing a photo op. First off, I’d like to thank everyone for the well wishes, phone calls, texts, gifts, flowers, house visits, y’all really know how to make a girl feel loved!
So once again, if you didn’t know I broke my foot at my 6th home opener for the Sixers on October 30…I’m still thinking this is nightmare and that I’ll wake up eventually. Reality is I’ve had to make a ton of changes since then. What happened? I tore my ligament in my foot, it took a piece of bone with it (sorry that’s kinda graphic) so in essence…broken foot. Long story short I had surgery on November 5 (the day before my dad and nephews birthday) and have been on bed rest with this soft cast. I go to the doctor on Monday to get the soft cast off and get updates.
Once I’m cleared to be able to leave the house again, I can still do my outfit posts like this one but I can’t get too crazy because it’s so hard trying to look cute while wearing a boot and being on crutches. Pictures from the knee up are key 😉 . So yea, I’m bummed since I can’t dance and with the holidays coming up I can’t do a full lookbook like last year (which I loved) and to top it off I’m moving in less than 2 weeks!
In the meantime, I’m trying to find my silver lining so this blog and I will be your go-to place for all of your holiday needs! Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. I’ll try to stay as fashionable as possible on one leg.
