What a weekend! On Saturday, I went to the Roots Picnic Philly 2017 for the first time!!! Let me just say it was an amazing time! The line up of music was fantastic, drinks were flowing plus I ran into a ton of people that I knew. At the end of this post is a little ‘Get ready with me and Roots Picnic vlog’. After getting into the concert, we needed to cool down with a drink. I don’t think the weather could have been more perfect! Over in our tent, there was this delicious cocktail called a ‘Roots Picnic Punch’. Just what we needed. We decided to venture over to the North stage to see Black Thought perform onstage.
It’s always great running into a fellow blogger. When I saw this cutie I said “Heyyyyy girl!” This is my girl Rocky from ‘Its a Rocky World’. Show her some love y’all!
I think the best part about the concert was being able to experience the day with my boo! I love days when we get to spend the whole day together and he enjoyed himself. BTW, the ‘male romper’ was spotted lol.
If you couldn’t tell by the video, I was anxiously awaiting for Solange’s performance. Much like her sister, she did not disappoint! To have an artist that can sound exactly the same live as their album is so rare and amazing. Yes I know it’s the ‘Roots’ Picnic but she was truly a treat. Also, if you’re wondering, we didn’t stay for the Roots and Pharrel performance. After being there all day, we were tired and hungry. Plus, trying to get out of a packed concert was like giving food to vultures lol. I hope you all enjoy the video!
