Happy hump day or should I say “bump day”. So I don’t own or really plan on buying maternity clothes but I did finally give in and get a pair of maternity leggings, Spanx maternity leggings. Y’all, it was the best decision I’ve ever made.
So seeing as jeans are pretty much nonexistent at this point, leggings have become my best friend. I’m actually thinking of doing a post dedicated on how to style/wear leggings whether you are pregnant or not. Anyway, since all of my leggings are size XXS, they started to get uncomfortable at about week 12.
I’m 16 weeks tomorrow aka 4 months so the bump is out and ready to party. Enter maternity leggings. There are many brands to choose from and many differing opinions but I always swear by Spanx. Yes they are a little pricey but oh so worth it. I got a pair of their ever popular faux leather leggings which I also have in regular sizing. For reference I’m wearing the size small in maternity.
These are great because you still look stylish because of the faux leather but you have the comfort of the elastic belly which will grow with you. I also picked up 2 pairs of their maternity jeanish leggings which are great because they look like I’m wearing jeans. It’s really great to know that Spanx has a “Mama” line for maternity. I’ll share those jeans in another post.
That’s all I have for you today. I had my doctors appointment yesterday and it was short and sweet. It’s always a great day that you get to hear your baby’s heartbeat. I’m still in amazement with all of it. Super excited because the doctors already know the baby’s sex! So our next appointment we will find out!!!! What do y’all think….boy or girl?
