First off, Happy Thanksgiving!!! Can y’all even believe that Thanksgiving 2017 is under way!? I know we hear it all of the time but seriously where has the time gone? I have so much to be thankful for! With that being said, I’m not only using today as an excuse to be thankful because I am thankful every day. So much has happened this past year personally and professionally that I can be thankful for. I’m always thankful for my life, health and strength, my family, my job and more than anything all of you. Vida Fashionista is approaching year 4 and I simply cannot believe it. The fact that it only seemed like yesterday that I had this wild idea of taking pictures of my outfits everyday and now here we are.
For those reading and seeing today’s blog post, you are getting a glimpse at my actual Thanksgiving Day outfit. I will be making some minor tweaks but here it is in all its glory. My boots, sweater dress and tights are all from Primark. Next to T.J. Maxx, Primark is quickly becoming one of my favorite stores. Why? I can get sooooo much for my money without sacrificing quality. That is honestly one of the biggest things for me when it comes to buying clothing and shoes. For instance, take this sweater dress. It was only $22. The material is fantastic for this price point. It’s very thick, to the point that I was sweating trying it on in the dressing room. More importantly, Primark’s items wash well and hold up their shape.
The other thing that I always get compliments on from Primark are shoes. These boots were probably one of their most expensive coming in at only $29. Since I wear these to work and I am on my feet all of the time, I can vouch for their comfort. For the longest time I’ve been looking for the perfect black slouchy boot with a little heel and here they are. The best part is knowing that I will get so much wear out of these because they are so versatile. To finish off my look, since we all know I’m not a solid outfit kind of gal, I had to add this check scarf for a little statement. Oh and did I mention that my handbag is currently on sale…jackpot!

We know that the point of today is to obviously give thanks and spend time with loved ones. In addition, we know that between today and next week it’s also a HUGE shopping time of year. I’ve rounded up some great Black “Thursday” and Black Friday sales from some of my favorite retailers for y’all. I wish you the happiest of days, stay safe and happy shopping.
