Velvet Cold Shoulder

I LOVE my new velvet cold shoulder top!  I bought it during my T.J. Maxx takeover last week.  I love it so much that I bought it in black too.  It’s actually not a top either, it’s a bodysuit.  So, I don’t know if you heard but “velvet is the new suede”.  Not really but it’s everywhere lately.  I’ve always been a fan but finally purchased something velvet for my closet.  Here’s thing with trends I don’t like.

The trend stays for a season, if you are lucky for 2 seasons.  Then what?  You have a closet with “trendy” items that you no longer wear.  Ugh see my frustration with trends.  I’ll be honest, I have a problem purging my closet.  I know I should do it but when something is new or hasn’t gotten enough wear, why get rid of it?  Five seasons from now, it will be back on “trend” again and you will be pissed!  Now you have to start all over.   It’s a vicious cycle lol.  Maybe I just thought about that way too hard.

Alright, switching gears.  Can you believe that Christmas is in 6 days!?  I feel like I had all of these plans, thoughts and ideas but the days just crept up on me.  I wanted to shoot so many more Christmas/holiday outfits for y’all…fail/still working on that.  Let’s be honest, my Punta Cana vlog still hasn’t gone up *insert eye roll*.  I need to make a New Year’s resolution to get my sh*t together.  Seriously though, time management needs to be my best friend.

I hope you all have a fantastic day.  I still have some last minute shopping to get done.  Is anyone else like me and waits til the last minute for Christmas shopping?
