Welcome to “Ways To Style” Wednesdays. Today I’m sharing ways to style sweat sets. I figure it’s very appropriate for the climate that we are still in plus, sweat sets are still having a moment. This couldn’t be at a more perfect time for me being in my third trimester haha. I’m sure you all are welcoming them too. Anyway, here’s a couple of different ways to spruce them up.
Wear The Set Together Solo
The point of the set is that it can be worn by itself. Anything else that you add will just be a bonus to enhance the look.
Add A Leather Jacket
Adding a leather jacket is a sure way to give your sweat set an edgier look. Really commit to the look by pairing it with combat boots.
Add A Bomber Jacket
At this point I think you understand that you can layer lots of different things with a sweat set. This bomber jacket can give it a sporty look (if I wore it with sneakers).
Pair With A Shacket
Though I think the word is cringe worthy, shackets are a great layering piece! You could either wear the shacket closed and like a shirt, as shown below, or you could wear it open, like a jacket.
Open The Hoodie and Add A Denim Jacket
Denim jackets can literally be paired with anything! Try unzipping your hoodie and add a denim jacket to complete your look. If your hoodie doesn’t have a zipper, that’s fine, still just add the denim jacket to it for a casual vibe.
Long Line Coat
A long line coat seems to really make an outfit, sweats in particular, look put together. Depending on the shoe you decide can also dress the set up. The long line coat you choose could be a plaid coat like the one I’m wearing, a teddy coat, trench coat, etc.
Separate The Set…
Pair With A T-Shirt
Here is an easy alternative way to wear your sweat set. Just break it up and pair it with the t-shirt of your choice. I chose a striped one but you could do a solid or long sleeve as well.
Just like last weeks “Ways To Style Teddy Coats” I have a graphic below that you can pin to your Pinterest board. That way you can refer back to this post whenever you are looking for some outfit inspiration. At some point I’ll share these options in a TikTok video today. In the mean time, keep those ideas coming for weekly styling tips. What do you want me to style next?
