I’ve been getting so many compliments on my quarantine skin lately so it seems I owed you a post sharing my daily skincare routine. Yes I do this routine everyday and some of the products I use at night too. I’ve grown to love these products over the years and I can say have really made a difference. While I love these products I always give credit where credit is due. Thanks to my parents and genetics for having great skin lol.

I will give you all the products I use in the order I apply them. First I start with a pre-cleanse. This step and product is not necessary but I love that it gets rid of excess makeup or extra dirt on your face before cleansing. On a dry face, it goes on like a lightweight oil. Then you wet your hands and rub until the complexion becomes milky and you see the makeup and dirt leaving your face. Rinse and then cleanse. I either cleanse with the Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel or Tula’s Purifying Face Cleanser.
Now that my face is clean I will go in with this toner which helps control acne and balance the pH of your skin…hello chemistry class lol. After my toner I’ll apply 2 serums. One is a brightening serum and the other a vitamin c serum. If I were to pick one over the other I’d choose the vitamin c serum because it reduces premature aging by protecting the skin from wrinkles that sun exposure can cause. It also stimulates the growth of collagen. No time for premature wrinkles here!
After my serums are applied I will go in with my holy grail skincare product and that is moisturizer!!! My go-to is Tula’s Hydrating Day and Night Cream. You want a light, hydrating moisturizer especially if you are using a lot of product. And please don’t forget about your neck!!!
At this point my skin is pretty moisturized but depending on if I need some extra hydrating I top it off with a beauty oil. I also like to use this serum in the place of the beauty oil. Oh and you better believe if the beauty oil isn’t going on during the day it will be for my nighttime routine. Remember to press the oil into your skin in an upward motion. We want to defy gravity hunny!

So I’ve been trying to research and figure out what kind of skincare routine I should be doing. I don’t really have one or know too much about skincare products >_< Crazy right?!
