Today I am 29 feeling fine! I am spending my day living my best life. Currently, I’m on my way to Ocean City Maryland as we speak! Besides Hilton Head, OCMD is one of my favorite places. It’s not too far from home, just far enough south that I get some southern love and hospitality. If you don’t know me I LOVE the south! Oh and not to mention that Maryland has some of the freshest seafood around (hello Maryland crab soup). Anyway, I plan on spending the day on the beach, eating lots of crabs and heading to my favorite place…Seacrets. Yes I am basic and I love Seacrets…you like what you like.
Last year was my golden birthday and this years birthday has some milestones as well. First off, it’s my last birthday in my 20s! Another “milestone” is that this is my last “legally single” birthday (don’t say that to Sheldon lol). In all seriousness, this time next year I will be a married woman on my honeymoon! Sounds so crazy and we are a little under a year away from the big day! To keep this post fun, I would like to share 29 things you may not know about me.
- I have an older brother. We are 4 1/2 years apart.
- My dad, brother and nephew have the same name, “David” and I am “Davida”…David with an “a” at the end
- I LOVE animals, especially dogs. I will drop everything I am doing just to pet a stray dog
- I have full conversations with animals (don’t judge me)
- I used to want to be a nurse.
- I went to college at Gwynedd-Mercy University (then it was Gwynedd-Mercy College)
- My major in college was Business Administration
- I went to medical assisting school and saved someone’s life at work (so scary)
- I have a high school record in the pole vault
- I started dance at 3 years old and I started tennis at 4 years old
- I am deathly afraid of spiders
- People that don’t hold themselves accountable for their own actions annoy me
- I won my high school’s league tennis championship and was inducted to the hall of fame in October 2016
- I played tennis all 4 years of college and went to the NCAAs twice
- I can play the piano, flute, clarinet and drums. I can also sing (No you will never hear me :-))
- I’ve been to China twice and been to the Great Wall both times
- If I could be any animal it would be a bird. I love flight and flying
- I am ambidextrous. One year in high school I switched to writing with my left hand for the entire year.
- I feel most at peace by water
- If I didn’t live in Pennsylvania I would live down south, probably in Hilton Head, SC
- I HATE odd numbers. I refused to get married this year because 2017 is an odd number lol, yes I’m that person
- I met my fiance bartending and he is my best friend
- Our bridal party consists of almost all professional dancers…both bridesmaids and groomsmen
- I have a burn on my leg from an iron when I was a year and a half years old and I’m still self conscious about it…but at least I have my leg right
- I talk to my parents on the phone every single day. If they don’t answer my call I get upset haha
- I have 2 nephews and they are in my wedding
- I believed in Santa Claus until I was 13 and didn’t speak to my parents for a week after I found out “the truth”
- Even though I’m a professional dancer and perform in front of thousands of people, I hate crowds and feel uncomfortable at times.
- 28 was one of my greatest years to date personally and professionally. Many goals were achieved, I got engaged and got my dream job! I have a feeling that 29 will be fantastic!
