Y’all know I love food and when I had the pleasure of having brunch at XIX Restaurant, I’m jumped at the chance! Located in the Bellevue Hotel, XIX (Nineteen) was nothing short of amazing! I brought Joe, my photographer/cousin, along as my date and we loved everything!
First things first when going to brunch you must order something to drink, at least in my book. I started off with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Next it was time for us to get an appetizer. Since we both love seafood, we got the Maryland Crab Cake. I loved that it was not fried and was full of crab meat. Many places skimp out on the crab meat.
As if we didn’t get enough crab, I also ordered the Crab and Clothbound Cheddar Mac and Cheese. Excuse me as a drool while I’m writing this. I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing this was. It is listed under the “sides” on the menu and let me just tell you…we literally bit off more than we could chew lol.
By the time our entrees came out, we were stuffed! I ordered the Skuna Bay Salmon which came with Brussel sprouts, cauliflower and a vadouvan coconut honey nut squash puree with a glass of prosecco. Joe ordered the Maryland crab cake sandwich which came with old bay fries and a glass of rose. Everything was beyond amazing and our server deserves a raise because he was fantastic!
Besides our a la carte meals, if you go to XIX for brunch, they also offer a Cafe Lunch Table”. You get three courses for $26!
And if you brunch dining experience was not enough, you can always step outside on the balcony to get some gorgeous city views. Thank you so much to The Bellevue for having us. It was truly an unforgettable dining experience!
