Diner En Blanc 2023 Recap. Y’ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg this was my first time physically back at a Diner En Blanc and just wow! Last night was amazing. If you follow me on Instagram then you got a firsthand look. Not gonna lie, this recap is not going to be full of photos because I got so caught up in the moment and took a ton a videos of the night but not many photos…oops
This year’s Diner En Blanc location was held at none other than Memorial Park aka Fairmount Park/Please Touch Museum. I truly don’t think there could have been a more perfect location. I have NO idea how they do it each year but just imagine trying to put together one of the biggest events of the year in Philly which is a surprise location each year! Like the logistics alone make me break out into a sweat. You have to get all kinds of city permits plus the location should be at a venue that doesn’t really mess up the flow of traffic which I’m sure is extremely hard. Anyway, let’s get into the night.
The day started off with some questionable weather aka LOTS of rain. In my heart of hearts I just kept saying, let it rain now and then clear up and be perfect for Diner En Blanc. Well, that happened! The way things go, you get an email of your “meet up spot” which this year was at 30th Street Station. After that, a text or email for the actual location. The key is that no one is allowed to reveal the location to the public until 7pm.
I got in my first cab in like 3 years. We made our way over to the location, Memorial Hall. My plus 1 this year was my mom. This was her first Diner En Blanc and it was so cute to watch her reaction to everything. As I said above, this was my first Diner En Blanc since 2019 between the pandemic and being pregnant.
This event is so fun and always a great time. The energy is electric, everyone is so happy and we all look good! I’m a firm believer that when you look good you feel good. Anyway, the night was perfect. The weather held out and the humidity finally left, RIP to my curls. There was over 5,000 people in attendance so lots of activations and entertainment was key. Many photo booth, bands, angels on wheels (yes you read that right), amazing DJs and you can’t forget about the infamous carousel. Sorry no pic :-(.
The last part of the night is so so so beautiful but secretly terrifying for me lol. I think sparklers are absolutely beautiful and look great in photos. The truth is they scare the crap out of me! I’m not joking. Ever since I was little I always thought your hair will catch on fire or something. Haha, I faced my fear and got the photo. Overall this was a fantastic night! Just really great and mom loved it! Thanks to the Diner En Blanc Philly team for putting this together. See y’all next year!
