Whoo happy Friday. We made it another week in quarantine but on the bright side it’s going to be beautiful out today. I know it’s basic but please enjoy this French toast recipe as much as I did. By the way, yes this was my first time making French toast lol.
- 4 eggs
- 2 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
- 6 slices of bread
- 1 Cup Milk/Almond Milk
- 1 Tbsp Butter
- Whisk milk, eggs and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
- Place griddle or pan over medium heat and melt butter in pan.
- Dip bread slices in egg mixture for about about 5 seconds each. Make sure both sides are well coated.
- Now carefully place the bread in the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides. Approximately 2 minutes per side.
Don’t forget the extras!
I would top my French toast off with maple syrup and powdered sugar. We didn’t have any powered sugar at the moment. Butter shouldn’t be necessary since there is a good amount used in the recipe already. I’ll be honest. In real life I actually do not like cold fruit with warm food. I think it’s a texture thing lol. For the photo the strawberries and blueberries look beautiful and I know most people would eat this altogether. I’m good with just a side of fruit.
