I forgot how much I love the Nanette Lepore shorts! Since they are so colorful and such a fun print, I wanted to keep things basic with the outfit.
I actually have a fun story about them for y’all. So two years ago, I won the T.J. Maxx “Maxxinista of the Month” contest. With these, I got a $1000 shopping spree, got sent to New York, shopped at the Chelsea flagship store (which is amazing) and did a photo shoot. I was featured for the entire month! These shorts were one of my purchases.
This may be really weird and random but I love when my clothes can tell a story. Not by me wearing them and creating outfits, but by where I was at each period of my life. Some people buy things when they are stressed, so you can have some clothes that you know you purchased at a time of stress in your life. Then there are others, like from the contest, that make me smile because I think to myself “I had so much fun that day, I got these shorts at x-y-z…” you get the point.

So after today I have one more day left of work and then my vacation begins! I’m not leaving until Sunday but I have a lot of stuff to do leading up to that day including lots of blog content.
