Oyster House

Oyster House

On Saturday Narragansett Beer so graciously invited me to Oyster House. They hosted a Lobster Day Fresh Catch Brunch and man it did not disappoint. First let me tell you about the beer. Narragansett Brewing Company is an American brewery founded in Cranston, Rhode Island in 1890. Fresh Catch is a supremely refreshing blonde ale that’s dry hopped with citra for a crisp grapefruit finish. It pairs very well with shellfish aka the lobster roll and oysters we had. Believe it or not, I’m actually a huge beer lover!

Now onto the “first course” which were the oysters. I couldn’t decide on just one kind, so instead I ate three. On the plate going counterclockwise we have the High Bar Harbor (Barnegat Bay, NJ) at “12 o’clock”, Salt Pond (Narragansett, RI) to the left and Irish Point (New London Bay, Canada) to the right. I feel like the High Bar Harbor ones were the saltiest. As a matter of fact, they were all delicious, not gritty and so fresh!

Now on to my FIRST lobster roll! OHHHHH EMMMM GEEEEE!!!! Yo it was soooooo good I just can’t. I hear that spices, the amount of meat and butter on the roll can make or break a lobster roll. I’m happy to report that this tasted amazing. Though I have nothing to compare it to since it’s my first, it was still fantastic! Paired with some french fries and washed down with Fresh Catch, I have to say that I will be back to Oyster House asap!
