Ladies and gents we’ve got lots of content to get out to you this week so here we go with the first! If you didn’t notice, summer is finally in full affect! Before we get any further into the Summer as it goes so quickly let me share some things to do in Philly this Summer 2019.
Head to a Rooftop
We have some great rooftop bars in the city. Stratus Lounge, Assembly Rooftop and Attico being some of my personal favorites.
Hit up a beer garden
There are so many beer gardens in the city! I really love Spruce Harbor Park because it’s on the water of Penn’s Landing and if you walk over far enough you will get to Blue Cross RiverRink Summer Fest. You also can’t forget about Center City Sips!
OMG y’all, I was one of the style ambassadors 3 years ago and it’s amazing. It’s basically like a city wide happy hour at participating locations every Wednesday. One of my favorites being Marathon Grille on 18th Street. They always have a great DJ and a fun crowd.
Visit Blue Cross RiverRink Summer Fest
As previously stated, the Blue Cross RiverRink Summer Fest is Philly’s only outdoor roller rink. In the winter time it’s an ice rink! It’s a great place to relax and hangout as entrance into the park is free and open to the public. If you wish to roller skate, ride the Ferris wheel or do any of the other activities they are simply pay-as-you-go.
Visit Photo Pop Philly
Photo Pop is the first interactive art exhibit here in Philly! Located in the heart of Old City Philadelphia in the Bourse Building which is a newly renovated food hall. This years theme of Photo Pop Philly is “Sweet Paradise”. It’s also part of the Philly PR Girl brand.
Head to Atlantic City
Not exactly in Philly but seeing as it’s only an hour away, why not!? There is always something happening there and the boardwalk is always a good time.
Do Some Summer Shopping
Probably my favorite activity lol. We have great retail on Chestnut and Walnut Streets. I also love shopping the boutiques on South Street. Another great thing about Philly is that we are so close to New Jersey. You can literally drive over the Ben Franklin Bridge and go shopping at the Cherry Hill Mall which has great shops!
What are you up to this Summer? Anything on this list that I missed or you suggest…sound off in the comments below!
