Today I’m going to share ways to style teddy coats. My love for fashion runs deep when it comes to styling so I think I’m going to make this a series of “ways to style” that I’ll typically share on Wednesdays. Teddy coats are super popular and a pretty trendy coat. I got a couple of requests on TikTok to style this coat and got the idea while filming a YouTube video. Speaking of, if you would like to watch the YouTube video of me styling them click here or see the video at the end of this post.
Leather Shorts
The key to styling the teddy coat with these first two looks is that the base of the outfit is all black. You can pretty much mix any combination of pieces that are all black.
Helpful notes about this style:
- When wearing all black, try and mix up textures or patterns to keep the base outfit interesting. I mixed a cotton turtleneck with leather shorts worn against patterned tights and boots with fur.
- A shorter hemline (like the shorts) with a long teddy coat will balance out the look and not make you look overwhelmed by the coat.
Leggings and Sneakers
You can literally pair leggings with anything and it will always work. Here I just paired a black t-shirt with leggings and high top sneakers. You could also wear low top sneakers.
Jogger Set
As seen in the YouTube video and below, jogger sets pair well with teddy coats. Depending on how you style the jogger set, it can give off a casual off duty vibe, chic, or full on lounge with a pair of Ugg boots.
Helpful notes about this style:
- The key to looking more put together would be to wear a matching jogger set.
- Add accessories like sunglasses and a handbag to make it look like you tried.
Skirt and Knee Boots
I love this styling and it works because just like with the joggers this is a set. The great thing is that this can look awesome when you break the set up or go for a totally different skirt like leather or denim.
Helpful notes about this style:
- You don’t just have to stick to knee boots. Booties, sneakers, heels, sandals will also work depending on the style skirt you wear.
With Jeans and Booties
This is a different style teddy coat but the same rules apply. Just like leggings, you could make any combination of jeans, pair it with a teddy coat and it will work. Jeans and a sweater, t-shirt, sweatshirt etc. Any footwear will work with the jeans too.
