Wow, wow, wow, finally getting around to sharing my 2021 Summer Capsule Wardrobe. Y’all this post and my video is a true labor of love. This took me all day to shoot and film. I did it in between Cora’s naps and sat her in her little seat so I could finish shooting my last 4 photos. Now the biggest question is, should I do a Fall Capsule Wardrobe too?
What is a capsule wardrobe and why should you care?
A capsule wardrobe is a small collection of garments designed to be worn together which harmonized in color and line. You should care because having these pieces will save you a lot of time and energy when it comes to getting dressed. There are so many outfit combos that you can mix and match which makes getting dressed easier and fun. The best part about it is that you probably own most of these items but never realized it. Honestly I could have created so many more outfits but I think y’all get the point. There are many variations of capsule wardrobes but these are the items that make up my Summer capsule wardrobe:
Tops
- White tank top
- Black t-shirt
- White t-shirt
- Stripe t-shirt
- White button down
- Blue and white stripe button down
- Denim/chambray shirt
- Lightweight cream sweater
Bottoms
- Blue denim shorts
- White denim shorts
- Green shorts
- White skirt

Dresses
Jackets
- Blue denim jacket
- Green utility jacket
- (Trench coat pictured but not used. Will use for my Fall capsule wardrobe.)
