WTWW: Velvet Crush

I have a serious velvet crush lately!!!  I’m back again with another “what to wear Wednesday” post.  When I saw this dress, I had to have it.  The price is even better coming in at just $13.99!  If you are in the market for some New Year’s Eve inspiration, here ya go.  Gone are the years of the super short, barely there dress (for me anyway).  Give me a long sleeve, form fitting dress like this one.  The off-the-shoulder neckline and added choker show just the right amount of skin.  In this case, less is more.

As this year comes to a close, I plan on doing some reflecting on the blog.  I think this was one of my best years yet.  Not to go off on a tangent but one of my focuses for next year is originality.  I’m not knocking anyone but I’ve seen some of this blogging industry just turn into sales pitches.  I don’t want to force anything on y’all that you don’t want.  I just want to inspire you, make you try something different, learn something.  If I do any of the above, then I feel like I have done my job.

Focusing back on originality, life and this industry can be tough.  It’s “easy” to see what everyone else is doing and try to do it their way.  See someone else’s success and try to replicate that.  Almost to a point that you loose yourself.  Who are you?  How do you want to be remembered?  I want my blog to be your source of inspiration.  I will touch more on this at another time.  Haha writing can be so tricky sometimes.

So since we are getting closer to New Years Eve, I would like to know what you are doing.  I stated before that I am attending my friend’s wedding on Saturday.  I can’t wait because my best girlfriends will be there and it’s always a party when we get together.
